The Kiva Credit Card for
Business Professionals, issued
by Advanta, is for non-business
owning professionals who want
the opportunity to help small
businesses in developing
countries through the Kiva
organization.
This card does not carry an
annual fee and has a 0% APR on
balance transfers that extends
through the first 15 months of
membership. The rate for balance
transfer transactions after the
introductory rate expires is
fixed at a very low rate when
compared to similar cards.
The cash back rewards program
gives cardholders the
opportunity to earn between .25%
back on purchases up to a full
1% back. Bonus reward categories
include: gasoline and diesel
fuel, computer equipment,
electronics, and office
supplies, online advertising
services, utilities and
telecommunications, and
charitable and social services
organizations. After the account
has amassed $50 in rebates,
Advanta will issue a $50
statement credit to the
cardholder.
Along with the cash rebate
rewards program, Advanta also
makes it easy to help other
business owners in developing
countries. Through their
Matching Program, if a business
submits a micro-loan grant to
Kiva as a charitable donation,
Advanta will match the grant up
to $200 per month. As an
incentive to give, Advanta gives
cardholders 5% of their donation
back in the form of statement
credit (up to $1,200 a year).
An additional feature available
on this card includes $0 fraud
liability protection. It's
important to also note that the
APRs for purchases and cash
advances may be tied to the
highest Prime Rate offered
during a 90-day period.
