re-establish your credit history
– just make sure to pay your
bills on time.
To qualify for
Guaranteed status, you must:

Be at least the age of
majority in your province of
residence;

Reside in AB, BC, MB, NB,
NL, NS, ON, PE or SK;

Not have an existing Capital
One account, not have
applied for a Capital One
account within the last 65
business days or have a
Capital One account that is
not in good standing within
the last 12 months before
applying;

Provide security funds, if
required, by cheque or money
order. (Please do not send
post-dated cheques or cash.)
In addition, we have a number of
checkpoints to ensure your
identity stays safe during the
application process. If we're
unable to confirm your identity
during the application process,
you'll need to pick up your card
in person at a Canada Post
outlet and provide further
identification. If Canada Post
is unable to provide this
service in your region we'll
contact you to make further
arrangements.
